Israel's English-speaking hiking community: an active Facebook group plus a new WhatsApp group for young nature lovers.
Israel is a hiker's paradise — but if Hebrew isn't your natural language, a big part of the local hiking world is simply closed to you. Hiking in Israel opens it back up: a hiking community that runs in English, for olim, international students and anyone more comfortable in English.
The Facebook group is the base — that's where the conversations about trails and trips happen. Recently a new WhatsApp group was added for young nature lovers, for anyone who wants a faster, more direct line to people heading out to the field.
Joining is easy: request to join the Facebook group, and from there you'll find your way to the WhatsApp too. Israel's trails sound great in English as well.
