Supper Club London: Dinner with Five Strangers
I sat down to dinner in a private London home with people I'd never met, at a club that's mainly for women. Home cooking, wine and conversations I wouldn't get anywhere else.

There's an idea I really love: sitting down to dinner with people you don't know at all. In London I made it to Supper Club — an exclusive dinner-with-strangers club whose whole point is meeting new people around one table.
In principle the club is for women only. For our evening they made an exception and accepted two men, and I'm glad I was one of them. The dinner was held in a beautifully designed private home, with a lovely table, pasta with salmon, good wine and a homemade chocolate cake to finish.
Around the table sat five people I'd never met, from all kinds of places and fields. I want to be clear: this is not a Jewish community. Quite the opposite — the crowd is international and very diverse, with views completely different from mine. And still, on the whole, they were very nice people, and the conversation flowed late into the night.
What I love about this format is that there's nowhere to hide: a small group, one table, a whole evening. No loud party where you swap two sentences and move on. That's how you really get to know people.
Women who'd like to meet new people in London are welcome to send me a message, and I'll pass your number on to the community's organizer.
