Showing up alone isn't weird. It's the bravest thing you'll do this month.

Almost everyone who ever joined a new community showed up alone. Nobody really talks about it.

There's a small moment, right before you walk into a room full of strangers, when your brain screams: 'Turn around. Go home. Order pizza.' That moment is normal. It passes in three minutes.

Every community I know is built from people who came alone and stayed. None of them brought a friend. They just dared.

One small tip: arrive ten minutes after the listed start time. Not early, not late. Ten minutes in, small groups have already formed and it's easy to slide into one.

And remember: the first time is always the hardest. The second time, you're already 'someone who was here last week.'
