The Home of Communities (communities.direct) is committed to accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. We believe everyone deserves to access information, find a community, and feel like they belong — and we invest in ongoing accessibility improvements.

Conformance level

The site aims to conform with Israeli Standard 5568 at level AA, based on the WCAG 2.0 international guidelines. We continuously work to improve accessibility and fix issues as they are identified.

Accessibility features

• Full keyboard navigation, including a "Skip to main content" link.
• Semantic structure: proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions and ARIA labels.
• Color contrast that meets the standard.
• Alt text for meaningful images and aria-labels for interactive icons.
• Screen reader support (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack).
• Built-in accessibility menu (floating button) supporting: text size up to 200%, high contrast, grayscale, link highlighting, and stopping animations.
• Responsive design across desktop, tablet and mobile.
• Respects the system preference for reduced motion.

Parts that may not be fully accessible

Despite our efforts, some parts may not fully meet accessibility requirements — usually external content embedded in the site (WhatsApp links, Instagram, maps, etc.) that is not fully under our control. We work to minimize these gaps.
